For us at 3DBear, 2025 has been above all a year of close collaboration with educational institutions: countless visits, co-development, and hands-on experimentation on how learning can be made clearer and brought closer to industry needs.
Throughout the year, we gathered abundant observations from both teachers and students, which together paint a picture of where vocational education is heading.
Here's a summary of the bear's year 2025: the year's key encounters, lessons, and a look ahead to 2026.
This Year's Encounters
The core of this year was working together with educational institutions. The numbers tell the story of how teachers have boldly embraced new ways of teaching.
- 100+ educational institution visits
- 15+ collaborating teachers
- 4 new learning materials
- 5 educational institutions in active collaboration

The Year's Biggest Achievement
+15%. That's the difference achieved by a distance learning group using Simuna compared to the national average.
But the number isn't the whole story. It tells us that when students have high-quality learning materials at their disposal, teachers have more time for what their work is irreplaceable for: debriefing situations, encouraging, directing thinking, and deepening competence.
The Year in Five Numbers
The past year is best captured in the concrete steps we took together with educational institutions and teachers. These five numbers show where Simuna has developed — and how broadly teachers have wanted to try new ways of supporting student learning.
1. New simulation technology deployed: 40+ avatar exercises
One of this year's major technological leaps was deploying new simulation technology. It enabled over 40 new avatar exercises where students can practice real workplace situations, interaction, and decision-making in a completely risk-free environment with a safe AI avatar.

2. Vocational institutions using Simuna: 33%
The fact that a third of Finland's vocational institutions use Simuna is something we don't take for granted. We are sincerely grateful. Every adoption reflects collaboration, trust, and teachers' courage to try something new for their students' benefit.
3. Countries traveled: 10
Throughout the year, we traveled to ten countries — for EU projects, teacher training, and spreading Simuna's message. What's been particularly interesting on these trips is noticing that whether in Finland, elsewhere in Europe, or Africa, the challenges in education are surprisingly similar.

4. New team members: 4
We're truly happy that our team has grown this year with four new additions to sales, technology, and marketing.

5. Number of simulation exercises: 200+
This year, Simuna's simulation exercises surpassed the 200 mark.

What Are We Heading Toward in 2026?
Next year is shaping up to be exceptionally eventful. We've been preparing things that will take Simuna enormous leaps forward — both in content and technology. New partnerships, fresh materials for multiple fields, and development milestones we're truly excited about lie ahead.
We can't reveal everything yet, but one thing we can say for certain: 2026 will bring a great deal of what we've been looking forward to for a long time. There's more to share soon, so stay tuned.
In closing, we want to thank all teachers, students, and partners for the past year. Your feedback, ideas, and everyday insights have shaped this work into what Simuna is today!
Thank you for 2025 — onward to 2026!
