3DBear Secures Financing to Advance Interactive Digital Education

Team 3DBear

We believe education is the foundation of equality and opportunity. Yet access and quality are still uneven.

Globally, teachers spend too little time on what matters most: guiding and inspiring students. Over the years, education has faced increasing pressure, from limited resources to shifting political priorities, making it harder for schools to offer the time, tools, and support that both teachers and learners deserve. The result is a system where personalized learning remains more aspiration than reality.

We created Simuna to change that. Our mission is simple: to make professional, work-based learning available to everyone, anywhere, anytime. Simuna is a solution that brings real workplaces into the classroom through immersive, pedagogically designed simulations. It helps learners strengthen the confidence and practical skills they need to thrive in real workplaces, while giving teachers more time to do what they do best: teach.

A New Chapter in Our Journey

To scale this vision and deepen its impact across education, we’ve raised an additional €1 million in new funding, including a €500k R&D loan from Business Finland — bringing our total new funding over the past two years to more than €2 million.

Our earlier funders — led by Infinit Capital and including angel investors, Oppiva Invest (whose assets were transferred to Tesi in a restructuring completed at the end of May 2025), among others — helped lay the foundation for this phase of growth. Their long-term commitment has allowed us to move from early experimentation to scalable impact in vocational learning.

This new funding enables us to expand Simuna to new vocational sectors, advance our Simuna AI production model, and strengthen the measurable outcomes we create for students and teachers.

“3DBear combines social impact and scalable technology in a way rarely seen in education. This round will help expand Simuna’s reach across multiple vocational fields.”

Building What Education Deserves

The round was led by Risto Vahanen of Eco-Innovation and Sustainability Oy, Gorilla Capital, and Infinit Capital — reflecting deep confidence in our mission and its real-world impact. We’re also deeply grateful to Dottir and Tuomas Ylä-Kauttu Consulting for their expert guidance throughout the fundraising process.

“What impressed us about 3DBear is how they’ve translated deep educational insight into a scalable, capital-efficient business,” says Kirsi Vine-Haaparinne, Partner at Gorilla Capital.

“3DBear is not just digitizing learning — it’s redefining how learning connects to real work. The team has progressed with discipline and proof-first thinking. That’s the essence of how sustainable companies — and lasting impact — are built.”

This round to our knowledge is the largest public-private investment in Finnish education in 5 years. A rare milestone in a sector where growth capital is often hard to find. It signals growing recognition that innovation in vocational education is not just a curiosity, it’s a social necessity, and a business opportunity.

People First

Behind every simulation, every AI model, and every new course we launch are people who care deeply about the future of learning. Alongside the funding, we’re strengthening our leadership team with exceptional professionals in sales, technology, and education — people who bring deep expertise in B2B partnerships, AI-driven product development, and the Nordic education landscape.

Their collective experience strengthens our ability to connect technology, pedagogy, and people — the foundation of everything we build at 3DBear.

On to the Next Chapter

Education shapes who we are and what we can become. As we take this next step in Simuna’s journey, we remain grateful to every teacher, student, and partner who believes that better learning creates a better society.
